We have developed this website as a place to get to know
extended family, share our genealogy, history, pictures and
other pertinent information for the following family lines:
1. The descendants of the Gisi/Heier families who were in Alsace,
France in the 1700's and migrated about 1805 to the areas of
Mariental and Kleinliebental (respectively), Odessa, South Russia;
then immigrated to the U.S.A. in the late 1800's and
early 1900's and settled initially in the Dakotas.

2. The descendants of the Zimmermann/Gabriel families were
initially in Kapsweyer, Bergzabern, Pfalz, Germany and Alsace,
France (respectively). Both families migrated about 1805;
the Zimmermann's to the Mariental, and the Gabriels to the
Kleinliebental areas of Odessa, South Russia. In the late 1800's
and early 1900's some of these famlies immigrated to the Dakotas,
Texas, and Kansas of the USA and some immigrated to Canada.
* Other surnames of the families of # 1 and 2 include: Adler, Braun,
Deis, Fix, Geffre, Heilman, Heinzmann (Heintzman), Imberi,
Jochim, Kreitel, Lowenstein, Ochs, Sahli, Schlick, Schoch,
Waldmann, Wildemann, Weigel, Wolfe, and many others.

3. The descendants of the Glaze/Myers families initially settled
in Pennsylvania; the Glaze family in 1676 and the Myers family
settled there after immigrating from Germany in the mid 1700's.
4. The descendants of the Foulke/Montgomery families originally
came from Europe. The Foulke's mostly from Wales and included
kings and queens and other royalty from Wales, England, Scotland,
Norway and France. This line is documented back into the fifth
century a.d. The Foulkes immigrated to the USA in 1698 and
initially settled in Pennsylvania. The Montgomery family originally
came from Armaugh Ballymoor County, Ireland and immigrated in
1737 to Northcumberland County, Pennsylvania and settled there.

Quaker Ancestors: Edward and Eleanor (Hugh) Foulke and families
settled in Pennsylvania which was founded by William Penn.
Several other families of the same beliefs came with them.
They settled together in the township of Gwynedd or North
Wales, named after the place in their old homeland. Robert
Hodgen was also said to be a Quaker and lived in Chester County,
Pennsylvania. He later moved to Frederick County, Virginia which
was settled by the Pennsylvania Quakers in 1732. He was asked
to leave the group because of his warlike tendencies in that
he gave food and supplies in support of the Revolutionary War.
He also became a soldier in that war.

5. The Hart/Culver family settled in Pennsylvania in 1789 and
moved to Iowa in the 1800's.
* Other surnames from the lines of # 3, 4 and 5 include: Linebarger,
Hodgen, Larue, Menefee, Mertz, Berryman, Correy, Crellin, Gilmore,
and Bryant, Demoret, Anderson, Meeks, Lyon, Sayles, Boone,
Taylor, and many others.
