Scott, Carter, Mumford Family

This site is for the descendents of the following three families who traveled from Halifax County, North Carolina to southern Ohio in 1844: Jefferson and Caroline Scott, Randall and Barbara Carter, and William and Luvinia Mumford. The proud descendents of these families hold two reunions every year; one in southern Ohio and one in northern Ohio, with the exception that every 5 years the two reunions meet together at a mutually agreed upon location. Plans are currently being made for the 2011 reunions

The Family Chronicles

This is actually the Decendents of the Paul and Hetty Flint Family and their families. Every member is a descendent or member of a descendent's family, either past or present. Some have left the family but not our hearts. Some have returned as close and cherished friends. Some have never met each other person to person but all have love and need for family. The oldest members are I believe 69 yrs of age and the newest a few days old. Our family will wax and wane but it will remain a strong and loving group.

Old Scotland Descendants!!

This is a website for descendents of early settlers to northwest Daviess County, Missouri, who founded the Pilot Grove Christian Church in 1856 near a community called Madelaine. It is now known as Old Scotland church and cemetery. By 1900 the congregation had grown to 100 and was a Church of Christ. The building they built in 1902 is the only remaining building of what was once a thriving community. We are descendents of those Brown, Dinnel or Dinnell, Hammons or Hammond, Scott, Stretch, Terry, Thomas and Troxel families who lived, worshiped, inter-married and died in that community north of Jameport. The Mize Family Connection

Jesse Mize, Sr. was born in 1779, in Virginia. On September 2, 1803, he married Jane Hudgins. Jesse was a Captain in the War of 1812 with Bradley's Company. He was a Methodist circuit preacher. Jesse and Jane had at least nine children, and lived in Tennessee, Alabama, and Louisiana, before settling in Texas. We know three of his sons; Lewis, Jesse Jr., and Nathan Allan also settled in Texas, probably between 1850 and 1860, in Panola County, Madison County, and Selby County. This web site is dedicated to Jesse Sr. and Jane. We are actively looking for their descendents.
