Pops, I have to get my wisdom teeth out. Oh, I'm excited for you to go to Uruguay, sounds like fun. I got your package today, thanks a lot for it. Well, I need to get my wisdom teeth out and we have to pay for it ourselves. The last time I checked in my bank account of Zion's I had about 900 and something dollars. I haven't used any of it yet, but I already called Sister Tanner (Mission President's wife) and told her about it, she said to just find a place to get them out. Well, I'll just get them out and worry about paying later. Just get the money out of my account and send it to me or something, okay? But other than that, I'm doing good here. We're still trying to get that Spanish ward going here but there aren't that many Spanish members here. It's pretty hard to get people to come to church, but we're doing the best we can. Angelica didn't come this Sunday. Well, we're just gonna still keep on moving along and get those people baptized. I hope everything goes well with your baptizing Elizabeth, sounds cool that you're doing that. If I was still at home I'd love to come with you. But anyway, I'll talk to you guys later. As for me, you know I am so excited for my trip to go and baptize Elizabeth. When I come back I would have great news. It seems everything was yesterday, instead of 27 years ago. Hey Bro! Waaaaaaaz up? :P Nothing much here. I'm here over at my dads house. it's about 5:45pm. We already went to church this morning. Actually I was there 5 minutes before church started because my dad told me to be early. So I was, and guess who all walks in about 10 minutes later, yep the fam. But it's okay. Church was okay. Then we got home and started watching home movies. I helped them fix all their videos because they were all messed up. So I organised it. Now all the home videos are somewhere else and are easier to find. I also put them in order by year. I was watching the very first video, when we were all little and stephanie wasn't born yet. It was pretty funny. It's weird how we all spoke spanish. Like the whole time. That video is the one where, we show off our halloween costumes. Where you were a pirate, and Felix was a Smurf and Sarah was a Gypsy, and I was an Angel. Yeah, it was funny. We were also all dancing to that spanish music in the kitchen, I kept laughing. Especially how like every five minutes one of us would say, Hey Video game dude, talk to me! Or, Kay sura sura, whatever will be will be.Yeah it was a funny video. Then after we were watching videos, me and Stephanie were having a water fight inside and outside of the house. It was pretty fun. Then we got in a water fight with my dad too! It was fun, he kept getting us with a mug full of water though! He cheated. But yeah we finally calmed down, and then me and Stephanie played Uno. OH yeah we were also looking at some pictures that we took when we all went to california. Yeah, I guess my dad just barely developed them like last week. But yeah, I think he's going to send you some pics. So yeah. School is finally over!!! Tuesday was like the last day. We just had an assembly, then we got out yearbooks, and we were out by 11:30, and then we were just signing year books. But then on Wednesday I had to go back to school at 8:00 in the morning beause Tashina and I had to do our dance test. We were suppose to do it like 2 weeks ago, but Tashina sprained her ankle. It was pretty funny. But, my teacher let us take the test on Weds, and she only took 5 points off, of 100. Which is pretty good. She should see our dance its cool. We did a mixed song with all these songs of Michael Jackson. It's not a mixed version, I mean it's like 4 songs cut, into to make 1 song. It's pretty cool. Yeah, and that's about it. I gots to go now, because I'm tired and I wants to kinda get home now. But I promise I'll write you a letter this week okay. And sorry if this post is kinda weird. I'm just writing it fast and I dont know if it really makes sense. But yeah. luv ya!

My son, Elder Freddy Desposorio. You don't know how much I miss you. Stephanie and I pray every night for you. There has not been a single day without mentioning your name in our prayers. Do you know who else does Stephanie pray for, every night? For Elizabeth. It's amazing how sweet Stephanie is for everybody. I think Stephanie wants to see me happy too. Just as you said it once to me, few months ago when I was with a broken heart. Your words are being fulfilled, that the Lord will bless me with the right person. Well, this is happening now. Every thing is going great between Elizabeth and I. I'm going to Uruguay on June 18, and coming on June 25, everything is ready for her baptism on June 21. She is so spiritual, and has a strong testimony. She said that her life has changed when she least expected. These are all miracles. Well son, you don't know how happy I am for you, to be at the right time and at the right place, as a missionary. Felix is graduating on Thursday. He and Spohia already got their Yearbook, yesterday Tuesday. Felix's Senior activity will be to Lagoon, and they are going today Wednesday. My daughters are growing. Stephanie has grown up a lot. People who has not seen her for a while notice it. Felix is happy now that he is graduating. He wants to be free. He is a great son just as my son Freddy. Sophia and Sarah are also great daughters. They are always together and go to places together. They look like twins, and Stephanie always visit her mom and sisters. May the Lord bless you always. Dad

Hello Hello Hello. I'm sorry I couldn't write last week but now I can. How is everybody doing? I'm good, everything is going good here. We just got transfer calls last night and I'm staying here in Cleburne with my companion. How are things all going up there in Provo Utah? Anything exciting happen yet? It sounds like Felix is pretty bored over there, eh? Anyway, things are going good here. Today is the 19th of May and it's almost June my birthday. Wierd huh? Yeah, Stephanie, hi. It's a good thing that you guys cleaned up Rinny's little house, it was starting to get smelly. (I would imagine =) So, I'm glad to hear from all of you guys. I was happy to talk to my mom and siblings for Mother's Day, it was cool. I'm learning a lot more things out here, how to use the scrpitures, both the Bible and the Book of Mormon to answer people's questions. By the time I get back I'll be a genius! =) I've also learned a lot more about what other churches believe in. They're all still living in the Apostacy and are confused. Well, so far we have had no investigators at church. We were supposed to have 11 investigators at church yesterday and the same last week too but Satan is working on the people here. We're doing our best to help the people here out. We've got a lot of good investigators right now. We've got at least 3 good families that should get baptized some day even if I'm not here. It takes a lot longer for the people that you tract in to to get baptized. We sure are getting the word out here in Cleburne. I'll probably stay here another 6 weeks and then we'll see what happens. I hope to see a baptism here though, it'd be nice. Well, y'all take care and have a wonderful day.

Pops, I hope that you got my "package" that I sent to you. It was the empty container of the medicine. I just ran out this morning. It's working good. Yeah, on Mother's Day have my mom call me, okay? Hello Elder Desposorio. Tell me, How is your skin? Is the medicine helping at all? Let me know. Here we had a wonderful Sunday. Yesterday we went to church as usual, and the same amount of family, Sophia and us. Felix is graduating from H.S., but only from 2 or 3 years Seminary. That's OK. He had his free agency. I couldn't do more. But he is a great boy, as you are. I love all my children. I'm planning to go to Uruguay from June 18 to June 25, to meet Elizabeth and baptize her. We are having the most wonderful spiritual experience. Who would have ever thought about this few months ago, right? That's how the Lord make things work when he said My ways are not your ways, neither are my thoughts. The whether here is still chilly. This past week has been cloudy and raining and hailing. Off and on we have seen the sun. Our pets are doing great. We should be sending you some letters this week. Ah, on Mothers Day, I think I should only let you talk to your mom, not with me, since is mothers Day. Maybe with me will me for Fathers Day. Is that OK with you. Thank you Son. Hey Freddy, I mean Elder Desposorio. Do your companions get to call you Freddy, or do you all have to call eachother by saying elder? I was just wondering. Yeah, I'm here at school early in the morning. It's 7:23. Did I tell you that I'm here at school everyday from 6:45!!! Crazy huh. It's because my mom and Sarah both have to be at work at 7:00 and Tats doesn't leave for work until 7:40 because he doesnt need to be to work til 8:00, so it's either be half an hour late every day, or be 45 minutes early everyday. Personally, I wouldn't mind being late everyday, but you know. Oh yeah, we(my mom, sarah,me,stephanie,me, and felix) We all made a tape to send to you. We made it like 2 weeks ago, but I don't think my mom sent it yet. I don't know why, she's slackin, but she'll probably send it soon. Yeah it's front and back too! Hello family, I'm glad you're all doing well. Pops, that's so great to hear about you giving a referral to the missionaries down in Uruguay. That's something that us Spanish missionaries in the US need. We need a lot more referrals. Well, here I'm doing good in Cleburne. We have a lot of investigators that are progressing and hoping to get a baptism in the next month or so.. (If I'm here long enough) Well, yesterday we did some service in a very run down house, we did some major yard work there and also the library was closed so we came today since we did do that yard work yesterday that took a long time. Elder D., Stephanie and Felix are doing great. Stephanie will write you later and send you a picture on the US mail, and I think Felix wrote you by email. By the way, The ward (bishop) needs your Missionary official site email address. They told me to ask you yesterday. Do you know how things are going between Elizabeth and I? Great. This past week, I felt the missionary work spirit, because I was many times on the phone with the Elders from the Mission office of Uruguay (and with the Mission President), giving and checking the referral I gave to them and seeing if they passed it to the Missionaries in the area where Elizabeth lives. Finally, Elizabeth received a call from the Elders of her area, on Saturday morning, and she went to church yesterday, and by coincidence, it was a Stake Conference, and the Mission President was there with all Church local authorities (She went to church on Easter Day, but for her surprise it was closed because it was being rebuilt, so she missed it on that sunday. Hello! Pops, I was surprised to hear that you guys got a new bishop because Bishop Worthen wasn't bishop for too long. But then you said that he's the new 2nd counselor in the Stake Presidency, that's good. Plus, President Mullen is a Mission President in New York? That's cool. Elder D., Hello my son. We got a new bishop today. He is brother Borrup. I was his home teacher until today, now I got different families. I'm sure I will miss him. I told him I hope we taught him well to be a good bishop, and we laughed. The reason of this change is that Bishop Worthen was called as First Counselor of the Stake Presidency to fill the vacancy of this brother, the short one, who was called as Mission President to NYC. What a change, eh? That's life. Changing conversations, about my friend Elizabeth, we are doing terrifically well. Today we talked on the phone for 2 hours, same as Wednesday, and we email 3 or 4 times a day. There are also a lot of spiritual connections between us. Someday you will know it. My mother told me yesterday (her birthday) that she has had a dream about Elizabeth's family back in Jan 2003. By the way, now that I remember, my dad said he has sent you a letter on the first days of March. Did you get it. Tell me about it, please. Papa Dionicio will have a surgery on April 23 for his kidney stones. Could you join me in prayer all of these days? Thank you. I don't want anything bad to happen yet until I get married again and he sees me happy again. I'm planning to make a trip to Uruguay sometime on June to meet her again, and then baptize her (it would be nice if it is on the same trip). But don't worry, if I ever marry again it will be in the temple within a year from baptism. Well son, I just leave it in the Lord's way this time. Hello. How are y'all doin? Pops, I haven't been doing good with that TB medication. I still have a whole container left of that. I think I was supposed to be done with that on the 11th of this month, huh? I don't know what to do. Should I stop taking it? Well, I also got the medication that you sent me last week. Thank you. I got your letter also from Dear Elder and it was the same thing you wrote here on the post board. Last week I read it on here and I didn't have time to reply to it because it was long. But that's very interesting of what has been happening. I'm happy for you. I've always tried to include the last name of people when I write them in my journal. By the way, I forgot to tell you, I got some more pictures on the internet and I'll send them to Felix's e-mail okay? Well pops, the work here in Cleburne is doing good. We keep finding a lot of people to teach and we're trying hard to have them read, pray, and prepare to get baptized. I hope before this next transfer is over that we can get a date for baptism. I think it's possible. But anyway, yesterday night (Sunday) was transfer calls and I'm still gonna be in Cleburne like I expected. But Cleburne is a good place. Well, I forgot to tell Felix Happy Birthday!!! You're 18 now. On Saturday I remembered it was your birthday and I couldn't believe that you are 18 now. You're getting old. 1 more year and you go on a mission!! cool. Even cooler if you came here to Texas =) Well, conference was great. We watched all 10 hours of it at church. How's my mom? Did she get my cassette tape? Well, I'll be sending a letter here today to you guys. But anyway, tell me what more is going on. How's the weather? Here it's finally starting to stay warm and sunny. I saw on conference on Saturday it was sort of snowing outside in Salt Lake City. That's rough, too bad ya 'aint here 'n Texas where it's nice n' hot! Other news? I'm doing great with Elizabeth in Uruguay. It all seems a sweet dream, she cannot believe thats happening in her life and I cannot believe it that's happening in my life either. We've been emailing each other twice a day, and phone calls once a week. And what news do you have for us? How is your missionary work in that area? Is it hard? Hey Fred, how's it goin? How's Cleburne treating you? Well, everything still pretty much the same around here, we've hit 4th term and there's just like 7 weeks left of school, i'm excited. Just got to pass everything you know. Well,.... yeah... looks like Mike T. Just might pick up bass, we made up a song the other day that sounded real cool, and he liked jamming so much, he's been wanting to jam every day since then. So Sean's been teaching him stuff, and he's picking it up pretty fast, it should be cool. Well yeah, i'm 18 now, it's kinda weird, but pretty much the same. Well, now about the great news is that, I had a beautiful week, dealing for the first time ever, with the families I found and baptized in my mission of Uruguay. This was for me a rewarding experience. I never thought I would feel such a really great joy for saving one soul as a missionary. What happened is that I never wrote nor called any of my families since I finished my Mission. That's 27 years ago. But I always had the feeling that one day I will hear or see my families again when I go to Uruguay again. And last week, some Uruguayan family called me at 4 in the morning for an emergency legal immigration help. Thereafter, I felt like I wanted to know how my families were doing. I never tried it before, because I thought their addresses I had written in my Missionary Journal, were not updated anymore, besides I did not have any of their phone numbers. But I asked how to get it, and I was told that I could find them in the Internet by looking on the white pages. And I said, yeah that's right! So immediately I searched in my Journal for their complete names, and I began finding their Phone numbers. With this excitement, I decided to call, one by one (I'm still not done with all of them, but I'm in my fifth call so far.) I have been calling my best families first. It was an emotional experience for them and for me. They said they think they were dreaming. Me too. My first call was to the Palesso Family. My second call was on Tuesday 25th March, to the Mazzolenni's Family (Alfredo Sr. and Alfredo Jr. and the mother.) I talked to this little boy whom I baptized on August 1976, he was 8 years old, at that time. Now he is 35 years old, a man and a father of 3 children. He said he still remembered me, and brought up an evidence, and said that his friends ask him very often, of how he is the first and best player in Checkers in town, and he says to them that a Mormon Missionary from Peru taught him. And I said, "Did I really Teach you? 'cause I can't remember," and he said yes. His father whom I baptized, died in 1995 and his mother is sick. I called her on the next day, and she cried...

Dear Elder, What a week I had. Many news, but great news. First of all, let me tell you that about your medicine, I found out that the one Dr. Kenneddy prescribed was not the one you asked but it's the less effective one. He said he cannot prescibe you, "Accutane 40 Mg" (which is the one you used once) or you have to see a Dr. down there. But the one I mailed to you, are really great, the Dr. said. He asid, it should be very effective. I sent it via USPS Priority Mail and you should get it by Tuesday.

Son, when one has a cold, it's not good to aboard a plane or you got to tell it to the airplane ladies. I learned this in the hardest way. You know, I have boarded airplane thousand of times, but I was never misearable as I was once when I had a strong cold, and I boarded a plane, and on the way to my destination, the plane had to make three stop overs. My ear almost exploted because of the air pressure. That flight was the longest I ever had in my entire life. I have never boarded an airplane again, until I get over a cold. I didn't know you went through this on your flight to Texas. I feel sorry for you. It's not fun at all. Now, if you did not have a cold, then, you were not aware that you had to chew gums, so your ears will not get plugged. I thought you would remember that. We used to give all of you gums, when you were children, before boarding the plane. Sorry, if I did not remind you of that. It's an awful experience. I don't want my children to suffer of what I did. I feel powerless that I wasn't there with you. Well, changing conversations, here I had a busy week with all of this, war, going on. I'm worried and sad, my son, for the unnecessary lost of lives and the stubborness of Bush and the leaders of nations who supported this cause. I hope there is a way out, if there's still something left. But you take care and do your part as a valiant soldier of the Lord. That's the greatest honorable mission on earth that a man can serve. Son, I forgot to tell you that I have my citizenship interview next Monday 24 March at 8:00 AM. This appointment invitation was mailed to me on Dec 31, 02. Finally I decided to be U.S. Citizen of this country and give up my rights for Peru and the dreams I had for them (but I can help them from here, Can't I?) By the way, today at 8 PM EST, Bush will address to the nation. I would say this is his declaration of War, although he would not say it directly, as usual. Elder Desposorio, you just be a great missionary to the Savior. Be the greatest missionary that the world ever had, and the Lord would protect you. As of me and my house, I would say, like Moses said to his family when the 7 plagues had to happen to the Egyptian Pharaon (and the greatest Empire ever, at that time,) when the Lord's plague of "the Destroyer Angel," was to pass over (Passover) their lives. Elder D. Dear Son, Do you know who says hello for you? Brother Sheldon Nicolaysen. I was talking to him this afternoon on the phone. I called him because I'm writing the history of the Mormons in Peru, on our Family Web, and I remembered that once I showed him in 1996, when he was our home teacher, the pictures I had about his brother when he was the second Mission President of Peru in 1962. Anyway, he gave me a lot of information. I asked him if his brother has left a Missionary Journal, and said that unfortunately not, but that later he wrote an oral history interview into a book, and that he will hand it to me. That is great. As you know he was a missionary in Uruguay (1947). What was surprisingly, was that I was going to write the history of the church in South America when it began back in the 1940's from the Uruguay Mission in order to understand the Peru Mission History, and I found out that brother Nicolaysen was the 2nd Counselor of the Mission President of Uruguay (1947) to brother Shreeve. It's this man what I wanted to write about Uruguay, because when I was at BYU he was a teacher and he was so proud that I served my Mission in Uruguay, and I knew that he knew a lot of Uruguay Mission History. Now I found out that he died last Aug 2002. He is the old man, you and I saw in the Mall with his wife, back in Jun or Jul 2002 and he asked me how my political dreams for Peru were coming along. Remember? Anyway, now that he is dead, bro Nicolaysen can tell me of the history of Uruguay, because the Peruvian Mission was part of the Uruguay Mission at first. I remember, bro. Shreeve used to tell me that Apostle Richard Scott, Elder Thomas Fyans and Elder Gene R. Cook were called as missionaries to Uruguay, including me. He was always proud of Uruguay and loved the Latin people a lot. Son, I shared this to you 'cause the Lord really opens doors, when one thing is true and right. So there is a reason why we were neighbors to bro. Nicolaysen. The reason I'm writing the History is because I promised once, in 1985 to bro. Penarrieta who was the first Pioneer of Trujillo, and District President, as he moved to Provo and gave me a lot of old Pictures of the Church in Peru, that one day I will write that history of the Church in his memory. Then the next year he died. And I always felt that I should write it soon, and now I just bearely started writing, and he should be proud up there in heaven. Changing conversations, son, President and sister Cameron came back home, and spoke today in the Sacrament. They were Mission Presidents in the Pensylvannia Mission, after serving for two years. He could not finish the 3 years, because on Jan 2003 he was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. His testimony was great and humble. He and his wife spoke a lot about their missionaries, their problems and their successes. I was thinking of you. Son, Mission Presidents and their wives are your spiritual parents for 2 years. Always, keep in touch with them about your health, your successes and your worries. You will see the results. I love you. May the Lord bless you.

I was actually wanted to get some new ones but I didn't want to ask for them not knowing if you had money. But thanks for them. Sorry to hear about Fred Rogers, he was a cool guy. I think he started that show when he was about 20 years old! Wow, he's been doing that for a while now. Hey, do you know a lady named Suzanna Perkins? My companions told his mom that I was from Peru and he said that his mom knows a lady that knows you and my mom, or just you, or just my mom. But I don't know. She's Peruvian and her husband is white. Well, I'm doing okay here in Cleburne, we've been knocking a lot of doors and had a lot of first discussions. I know that first discussion very well now. By the way, did you hear about that we can't say the discussions word for word anymore? We have to go by the Spirit and already know that doctrine in order to teach the discussions. Dear Elder. So, are you settled in your new area? I know how hard is to leave your area and the families you made. It's a heartache. That's what I was talking about. You learn to love new people and then the Lord sends you to another place and meet more people. It's the mission of life. Anyway, yesterday I bought Felix a new car, but I told him I would not give him the key until he graduates and until he passes his ACT on April 12 (I told him he may have the key on this date, if he takes the preparation course which starts next week, 'cause that night is Prom's,) so he can start BYU in Winter 2004. What happened is that I was too busy that I did not spend time on finding out the BYU deadline for new students, and I thought it was going to be the same deadline as it was for me, March 1. Now he will go to UVSC for one semester. Anyway, the car is a Dodge Intrepit '96. It's a cute one. I'm thinking of either selling your car or Felix's old car. Which one should I? or should I get rid of both? Let me know. Son, Did you hear of the death of Mr. Fred Rogers last week (3rd or 4th March)? I watcged a special TV program dedicated to him on Night Line News. It made me cry, cause you all used to watch that, and I used to watch that. And when you were kids I used to imitate him by taking my sweater off when I arrived from work. Remember that? Anyway, a great man! Son, Don't forget to use your money from your Debit account. There's still left about $90 and so. Tell me if you got the present, and the package I sent you long time for Valentines. I'm now here in Cleburne Texas, a small town south of Fort Worth. My new companion's name is Elder Baters. Me and my comp have been trying to get some things going in this place. We've already taught 4 1st discussions by knocking doors. We've been here since Thursday. Yeah, we both kind of miss our other areas, but we have to put that aside and start working in this place. In fact, Elder Bates was supposed to have a baptism on Sunday which he missed and would have been his first baptism so he was kind of bummed out about that one. He's been out for 9 months now and yesterday I hit my 5 month mark. Pretty cool huh? Tuesday I didn't get to see any other families either and on Wednesday was supposed to be transfer meetings but they cancelled it because of the storm and so I thought that I was gonna have a whole other day in Lewisville but they called us up and told me to come over and exchange us. I stayed over at the mission office and my comps came and picked up the newbee and then I went and slept over at the A.P.'s house with all the new people and that was wierd. But then the next day we had the transfer meeting and that's when I met my new comp and we found our car that we were taking, we looked for Cleburne on the map and then headed down. All day on Thursday we were getting all situated and stuff. But anyway, this whole place is going to be hard to work in it's kind of a rough area. Well, we have no investigators, we had to start from scratch, and it's pretty hard to do all of that. I hope we can get this place going though. Plus, there is no Spanish ward. There is only one ward here in Lewisville and it's in English. We have only one Spanish family in the ward but it's just an old couple. They speak very little English and I had to translate for them during sacrament meeting with the headsets. Translating is hard! I kept messing up but I'll have to keep practicing. Elder D. Dear son, Today Sunday was a beautiful day at church. I shared my testimony after few months. It was unexpected. I did not want to share it but the spirit was stronger. So, Felix just shared about the ring story? (This was suppose to be a secret.) Yeah, it's a pretty one. I went crazy and purchased it on Feb 14, that way I would be ready next time. My friends don't really make fun, they just think it's a great idea and said they want to do the same thing if they had the money. They tell me that I am very positive. I tkink it's faith. Whatever, I bought it in cash and I ough no one. This time I don't want a girl to ask me to marry her and give me a ring like crazy Nicole did 4 years ago. Sorry! --- Son, now back to us. It remainded me that you have a great skill to entertain people and that I used to tell you that when you are on a mission someday, the children there will love you. Elder D., Hi. Guess What? Last week I got an email from this guy in Peru who is a descendant from the guys that in 1916 shot my Great Grand Pa, Victoriano Desposorio, at his ranch. Now the story is not a legend for me anymore, because all the Desposorios used to talk about it when I was a kid. Wuauuu! He said he saw my website www.desposorio.org and read the story, and was very surprised to read the names of his grandpa and grand uncles, and did not like it at all. He asked me why did I write those names. I said, I did not write it. It was my Grandpa who wrote it in his Journal and then he shared it with me in 1980, and then I wrote it in my Personal Diary. He said he was sad to know of the story of my great Grand Father. He confirmed that his family mentions that his grandpa did indeed killed someone. This family's name is The Ganozas, a well distinguished family in Trujillo same as the Desposorios (and they were rivals ever since.) I told him that I have nothing against the Ganoza family, and not even my father, except my grandpa, because he became orphan when he was 12 years old. What a story, eh? You can read this letter on the Desposorio's Site, under "Family Forum," keep clicking till you find that page. Another thing, there's a Desposorio Family in Texas I met back in August, remember when I called them on the phone? Well today, I talked to them on the phone, and told them that you are a Mormon Missionary, and they want you to visit them, but I said that you can't, so they said if they could visit you so they can know you. They live in Katy, Texas, 4 hours from Fortworth. Maybe you can send the missionaries to them. Let me know. Tomorrow Monday I will be calling the other Desposorios I met through the Phone back in August, and who lives in NYC, Miami, and Los Angeles. Hey Pops, thanks for sharing with me about your friends. I'm really happy for you and I want you to be happy too. I can't believe that Linda's son is already back from his mission. It was just like last year that he left, he went to Spain huh? Yeah, time does fly by. Anyway, I did get a letter from Sophia's friend, I didn't even know who it was. Yeah so, I hope everyone had a good Valentines Day. everyone else that we had lined up for baptism isn't going very well. Juan Ramirez hasn't been to church in a long time. Maribel and her brother and sister aren't going to come to church anymore because Maribel said that her brother and sister weren't very comfortable in church and she wants to at least take them to SOME church. So they're going to the Catholic church. It sucks because Maribel is so cool and she's been reading the Book of Mormon and she understands a lot about it and a lot of the principles of the Gospel. I don't know, we'll just have to keep working with them. As for Marisol and Osiel.. we can never get a hold of them and they didn't go to church today or last week either. Yeah, you know what the strange part about that is? I always liked that Kolob song but I never looked up the reference before. And then when I was reading in the Pearl of Great Price I read that same scripture but I didn't know that it was on the song. But I liked the scripture so I put it for my plaque. And then in the MTC I looked down at the reference in "If You Could Hie to Kolob" and I saw that it was the same, (or about the same) scripture as it was on my plaque. Isn't that weird?? Anywho, that's pretty cool that you guys are getting puppies. At first when Stephanie said that you guys were getting rid of Rinny I was going to say no. But then you said that you're gonna give it to Summer and so now it's okay. There's this big old Great Dane dog that we pass by here almost everyday and it's HUGE! Now when I get back from my mission I'm gonna get a big old Great Dane and a German Shephard. Yeah, I'm sorry pops that last week I forgot to tell you HAPPY BIRTHDAY! It happened when we were singing and I told Felix, Hey this song has the same message as Freddy's favorite scripture which is in his missionary plaque and in the Homepage of this site, and he told me, that's his favorite hymn! Hello everybody, I'm doing pretty good over here. Right now is an exciting time for us because right now we have A LOT of people commited for baptism. We met this cool new lady named Maribel and she is so into the Gospel. She lives with her 2 sisters, 1 brother and her daughter. Also we have a lady named Martha and she has two member friends that live in the same apartment complex as she does and they started going to church and Martha came with them twice. It was sweet. We also have another lady named Marisol (like my Aunt's name) and her husband Osiel. They're cool too. They both said yes to getting baptised and they have a 9 year old son and a 7 year old daughter. We also have Juan still commited. On Sunday there was a new thing that was starting up. The Lewisville/Flower Mound members don't go to the Farmers Branch branch anymore. We now attend with the Flower Mound 4th ward in a bilengual ward. It was all because of Elder Frost. He got it the whole thing moving to get services here in Lewisville. The chapel is right on the border of Lewisville and Flower Mound. Flower Mound is west of Lewisville. Yeah so yesterday was the first day that we met together in that branch and all the guero leaders from that ward just wanted all the Hispanics coming in to their ward to feel welcome and it worked out. Everybody liked it and there are a lot of people in that ward now, it's pretty cool. Sunday was a good day. So I heard about the shuttle thing. Me and my companions were driving down the streets and seeing all of the American flags down half-way. (by the way, here in Lewisville they have A LOT of American flags EVERYWHERE. PLUS, they're HUGE! They've got so many huge flags all arouind accompanied by the Texas flag.) Yeah, so then we went home and had a message on our answering machine from the Zone Leader telling us what happened and told us if we find any pieces of the shuttle to not to pick it up and report it to the police. They said that a bunch of pieces landed in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I've also heard of a bunch of pieces found near here. Well, that's about it. Later-

My dear Elder, I'm sending this post a little bit earlier. The news has being going on all day long today about the Space Shuttle that exploted early this morning. Tell me if this has happened anywhere close to where you are. What a devasting thing! Anyway, last night Friday, I was in the Temple and guess whom I saw after a long time, Bishop Kerry Graves. He was with his father and two of his brothers. He introduced them to me. They all look as nice as him. Kerry told them that we used to be in the same ward and that he was my son's Boy Scout Leader. I told them they got a great son who is now a bishop, and that he was a great influence in my son's life and in his youth. Kerry told me that he got a letter from you. That was a nice surprise for me. it made me very happy. He said that now he needs to write you back, and I said that you'll be very happy to hear from him, but to do so on his time, when he can. I'm sure he may be a busy man now. Well my son, Sophia is coming to our ward this Sunday and told me that she will keep attending our ward. The great news I got about this, was when I redeemed myself because of my lonliness and following the promptings I felt like calling her and I told her that I missed her a lot and that I felt very lonely without her and I told her that she could stay at her mom's if that will make her very happy, and she said yes with one condition, that if she could keep coming to our ward. That's exactly what I wanted to ask her. Well, dad is now happy. Do you know that there is a new release movie named "Return Missionary," it starts today, but I'm going to watch it on my b-day. Hey pops, I like your dream, it's sounds good. I hope that everything goes well in your life. Just keep praying and try to understand what the Lord wants for you and what he thinks is best. His name is Elder Owens and he was called to go to Venezuela but they're having problems down there. Hey Dad, I have only 19 minutes left on this computer so I have to write you right now. How's everything going right now? Is there anything new? Felix told me about Gerald's wedding and that's cool. I wish I could've gone. Yeah, yesterday it snowed here. Did it snow over there? It was snowing during church and me and Elder Frost got a flat tire on our car when we were leaving the church parking lot to go pick meet up with some investigators so they could follow us to church. We had to get out in the wet and cold to change the tire and I got a picture of Elder Frost at that time. Yeah, so, today we didn't go play basketball so we got here at about 10:10 am CT (9:10 MT) So how's everything going over in Lonely Provo? yeah, it's pretty good here. Let me send this e-mail to you right now okay? Hey pop, I only have 8 minutes now so I'll finish my e-mail. Everything is good here. But I won't be able to reply to your e-mail until next week becuase I don't have more time left. Elder Freddy Desposorio Dear Son, This is part of the email I sent you the second time: You are a great son, a humble one and a chosen spirit. I'm so greatful to have a son serving the Lord as a missionary. May the Lord always bless you so that your faith can be as strong as a rock. I love you and I always pray that you may be able to have the richest experiences teaching the gospel. I hope that you may be able to baptize this young man or investigator you were telling me about. Hopefully you will baptize him, because when I was a missionary sometimes I had a broken heart when I was so excited of getting ready with some investigators to baptize them after the last discussion, but overnight they changed their mind, or they were not ready to be baptized when the District Leader interviewed them. I've learned that men are human beings and that men have a lot of sins hidden, or at least twice as much than LDS members, and that's life, that's OK. But ihave also learned that the gospel is to bring them out from their captivity. I just pray that you don't have too many of these investigators or too many broken hearts like dad did. I pray that at least you may pray the Lord so that he can lead you to those of open hearts and those that are ready to accept the Gospel. Any way, please tell me more about your investigators, and I will share you some Teaching techniques. In the meantime, always share your humble testimony with authority (as you have been called from God) and with the spirit, and with love, and you shall see the resutls. Here, I am with these trials with Sophia. She wants to go and live with her mother. And I too want her to live with me so that I can have her succeed in school and at church. That's my only worry, but she doesn't vision that far. Anyway... Felix wants to go on a mission. He is so humble too. I just hope that the WAR that is about to start, would not stop the spreading of the Gospel and the direction the Church is leading towards, or I hope that somehow this war will not be an obstacle for "Missionary Work," and that the missionaries will not be returned home, as prophecied for the latter days, at least for another few years, so that Felix can also go on a mission, and not serve in the Armed Forces. As you know, I do not support War or Military Forces at all, nor will I encourage that to my son. I am opposed to War. I'd rather have my sons be soldiers of the Lord, of his kingdom and of his gospel than wasting time or killing people, it does not matter if it is for defending the sovereingty of country. All, it matters is defending the Church and the Gospel when they will be really in Jeopardy (When? Prophecies said when the Saints will be persecuted and be forced to resign to their faith or be put to death. Then that's the real time to show our courage and manhood. At that time I hope that those that supported war will not chicken out and give in easily their faith and testimony just because they were told to choose between life or death.) Hey Elder! It's me again. How are you? I'm doing good. I just got home from sleeping over at my moms house Friday night and saturday night. Today is sunday. yep. So how's it going? Hey dad, Yeah, I'm sorry to hear about you and Audrey. I think it was you that told me on my other e-mail account, Sophia or Felix didn't tell me. Anyway, like I told Felix, tell me anything about what you guys are going through it's okay, I don't get unfocused here. Hey, did you see the changes I made to DearElder? Yeah, so check it out. Hey, guess what? By the end of my mission I'm going to speak Spanish like a Mexican saying, "orale" and "andale" and "mande?" Yep, I hear those all the time and pretty soon I'm going to catch on to it. My companion Elder Frost has already gotten used to saying those. Plus I'll talk different English too. I'll probably say "y'all" (meaning, you all) because everybody says that. For example: "Are y'all coming or what?" Yeah, there's an example used in a sentence. Well, I haven't been using those terms that I mentioned yet, but I fear that soon I will as the days, months and years go on. Hey, have a good Christmas over there y'all. Today in my sunday school class, we were having a lesson about Christmas and also about how my teacher went on her mission to France during Christmas and it made me think of you, and how you'll be there(in Texas) too during Christmas. Dear Son,

HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS.

My best wishes to you from the bottom of my heart.

What a better place on earth to be than on a mission and serving the Lord Jesus Christ. Just now when the whole world is trying to celebrate the birth of Christ, but do not know how to celebrate it. Most of them because they do not have the light of the Gospel, others because they lack of faith. How fortunate we are and to have known the gospel from our parents and grand parents, and that you are a missionary, proclaiming of good tidings to the world. May the Lord bless you for ever and ever.

Son, how great and blessed you may feel that you have completed reading the Book of Mormon. Isn't that great? Now you can feel with more authority to go and preach your fellowman. That's exactly what happened to me, "the spirit of conversion." My life was never the same, and my personality completely changed during my mission, that my parents never recognized me again. You are such a special spirit and a noble one. Always please the Lord, and he will reward you from above.

We are here OK. I can't believe Christmas is here again. Time has really gone that quick.

I feel much better now, even though I'm alone again, not that I would say that I'm happy or that I like that, but that my faith has gotten stronger, and this comes when one is lonely, is rejected or feel pain. It is there when one gets humble, if one remembers the Lord and pray to him, then one becomes more Christlike. That's what I'm learning more and more. Perfection is but a process, a step by step formula, just like Christ, he had to grow precept upon precept.

My son, May this Christmas be a time of joy with your companion.

I love you. Stephanie and I, always pray every night for you. Same we pray when we get together with Fekix and Sophia to have family prayer. Thank you for your prayers as well.

12/09/02 Hey family, I'm here now in Texas. My first area is Lewisville. My new companion's name is Elder Frost. Hey, can you see if my mom has an e-mail account, and if she doesn't she can make one. But if she doesn't want to I can send her letters. Well, on Tuesday I couldn't call her because the phone card was out and the plane was leaving so I had to go. I tried calling her in Phoenix but no one was there and I guess she was already at work. But I can call for Christmas and I'll get to talk to her and that'll be good. Well, I had to reactivate my accounts because they haven't been in use so if you were tryting to send me e-mail and it wasn't working, then that's why it wasn't working. Well, I guess I'm doing okay, it's just that I'm shy and don't really talk to new people that well. But I'm doing better and hopefully I can overcome that. Well, I'm going to e-mail everyone else. Oh yeah, I can only e-mail my family so I can't e-mail other people. I can recieve e-mails from people that aren't my family but I can't write them back. Pretty wierd huh? December 1, 2002 Elder Freddy Desposorio, My dear Son: My desire is for you to have a very nice trip towards Texas, and a rewarding Mission for your next 22 months left. You are probably very excited to move to the next step as a missionary, which is to "Go ye through out the world and call unto repentance and baptize my people." Son, today I had a beautiful Sunday. I enjoyed listening the testimonies of the brothers and sisters. Also, every Sunday I stop on the Hallway, by the bulletin board and see your missionary picture and read and re-read your Scripture Passage from your Mission Plaque, and I enjoy it so much because it is a very inspired statement. Today, I invited Sarah at 4:00 PM to join us for dinner, and I cooked a lot of stuff specially for her. I cooked a delicious soup, rice, roast beef, lasagna, sweet potatoes and corn. Sarah liked the soup, very much. Today I have also gone to visit uncle George and he says hi for you. He asked me for your Mission Address. He is a great man. I also watched the Christmas message from the First Presidency. In summary, it was a beautiful Sunday. Once you arrive on your Mission field, we probably won't get letters from you at the beginning, because you will be lost, and new with a new companion. How exciting! Then you will be settled and ready to write us. We are waiting and will be looking for that time anxiously. We didn't get your letters this thanksgiving weekend, maybe it was because the Post Office are delayed with delivering because of the 2 days Holidays. I'm sure we will get your letter tomorrow Monday and will get instructions of the time when you are going to call us on Tuesday from the Airport. We will be ready. 12/1/02 Dear Elder Desposorio, How's it going? I'm doing good, except for I've been feeling sick for the past two days. It's just a cold. Anyway, so you're going out this Tuesday huh? Wow, two months went by pretty quick. Well, I wish you the best of luck out there, on the trip there, and while there too. How was your thanksgiving? Mine was good, we ate at Em-par-atrice's house, and at my mom's. It was a nice weekend, till I got sick. Don't I always get sick around this time of year! Nov 26, 2002 Freddy(aka Elder) HI whats up, i'm not in a good moood right now because i'm sick. I keeps sneezing and coughing, I didn't even go to school today. Today is tuesday and we only had school today and yesterday cause for Thanksgiving break. So how is everything going? Are you excited that your going to be leaving next week for Texas? I know that your ready to go out there and teach the gospel, it'll be a great experience for you. I don't know if I want to go on a mission yet, maybe I don't know. Nov 20, 2002 Dear dad, Thanks for your letter. Guess what happened today. About 890 new missionaries came today and that was bastante porque there were a lot of them around. It was actually kind of annoying because we had to move out of our way just for them. Por ejemplo, during meals we had to walk outside all the way around all these buildings just to get to class. The bookstore was closed for a long time because that's where all the new missionaries get their new stuff. By the way, I have to pay $75 for the Twinrix Hepatitis shot that I got today. Should I use my money or will you send more? They said that I have to pay it before I leave. Well also, I'm so glad to hear about little Wil's baptism, I wanted to be there. Also, I wanted to be at Gerald's wedding in January. I just thought about how I want to be in the temple when people I know get married. I know that they probably won't get married in the temple though, but I just thought of that. Also, I will pray for you. I was going to pray for you when I read about you meeting that lady, and once you said to pray for you I said of course. Hey, I'm sorry to hear about Papa Dionicio, I hope everything goes well with him and Mama Rosa. By the way, I wanted to tell you that, remember when I came in to the MTC and I had a cold? Well I haven't had anything since then and all I really needed was cough drops the first couple of days and I haven't been sick since then. So I don't need any medicine, but thanks for asking. Nov 20, 2002 Dear Elder Desposorio, How are you doing? Well i'm here stitting at home, I got home a while ago from a wrestling Match. Mike Pinned Ammon Malone, Mike did real good, he looked solid, and came out with the pin. Unfortunately Myke got pinned by Ian Greer, he did real good though, he toughed it out with him, a couple times I thought he had him, but he made a little mistake towards the end, which cost him the match. Sean's match was real good, he wrestled some Zack kid. It wasn't too far into the first period when Sean pinned him. Sean looks real solid this year,I wouldn't doubt it if he went to state this year. he looks good and comfortable on the wrestling mat. Speaking of Matt, he was also the ref. This match was a match to see who would be starting this year on varsity and such, and to show who ever came how good the wrestlers are. Mike should be starting 135, Sean already had the start from the beginging, he'll be 165, and Myke looks like he'll have to work his way through the pack this week, i'm sure he'll beat Ian. Anyway, I just thought i'd tell you how things are going for the guys. They look like they might have a fun and succesful wrestling season this year. Well keep working hard, I know I say this all the time, but I also know that you're doing your best in there, and in less than 3 weeks you'll be out in the field, doing what you've been tought to do, I know you'll try your best, cause I know when you set your mind to something you stick to it, and this is a good thing you're doing, and you're a good man to do it, you're a good brother, I miss you a lot, we'll have to jam when you get back, there's no one here that want's to jam with me, but I know you will. Nov 19, 2002 Elder desposorio, Dear Son: Sorry that you have not received any letter yet this week. Your brothers should be sending you tomorrow. That's right, we got your letter yesterday Monday, this time, maybe it's because of what you said. Any way, On Sunday, we all went to Wilmercito's Baptism. It was at 6:00 PM. He turned 8 years old on Sunday. Aunt Meg's parents were here and they say hi for you. Uncle George was also there, and Gerald with his fiancee. They are getting married on Jan 10. I gave the closing prayer. Wauu... Freddy, that's great you have gained few pounds. Keep it up! Grand Pa Dionicio and Mama Rosa won't be able to come for thansgiving. They had to change their plans because Papa Dionicio got sick. He has problem with his Collon... I don't know how's that spelled, but it's by the rectum, and the Doctors said that he needs a surgery. We'll see what happens. Besides this, we all here seem to be pretty well. No great news, life is the same. Your mom seems happier, same as Sarah. Sophia and Felix are fine, no great news of girl or boy friends (neither from Sarah). About Felix, I see him lonely sometimes, but he is still a great boy. Stephanie, you know, she brings sunshine in my life, and is doing just fine. She is a happy girl. She says she misses you a lot, especially when you used to play with her, because here at home no one likes to play with her. Anyway, she make us laugh. How about you? How you been doing? How's your health? Have you caught a cold or flue yet at MTC? Tell me if you need any other medicine for colds or flue so that I can send it right away. Thanks for the pictures. Dad - How are you? I'm great, thanks for all the things that you've sent. I told Sarah how greatful I am for you and what you do for all us kids. My mailbox # has changed to # 127. Last time it will change. And, add a 1203 to the part of TX-FTW, it just means the date that I leave. Okay, well, I'm done with the first 2 charlas and I'm starting on my 3rd one. I can't believe it took me 1 whole month to memorize just the 1st charla. It only took me 1 week to memorize the 2nd one. My teacher, Hermano Warr, had us make specific goals of when to lograr our metas for memorizing our charlas. I've been doing them very well. My Spanish is better and we talk all the time in Spanish because it's a rule now. Except on Fridays and Sundays because it's P-day and Sunday meetings. By the way, I will only be writing letters on Friday. Maybe sometimes even on Sunday if I need to. I really need to memorize all of the charlas and study the Book of Mormon whenever I have time. And as you know, we don't have much personal time here. Well, it is our 6th week now and we're actually been here for 5 weeks and 2 days. Everything is going great. You guys can write me whenever you want. Please tell me what is going on over there and take care of the family. What? no happy B-Day? I'M 18!!! Which means... absubloutly nothing, except now I go to jail instead of DT. hmm... One more year then I go on MY mission (I'm gonna be mad if you don't come to my farewell). I need some $$$!!! So how're you doin? How's the language comin? Tell us about your companion(s). School is doin okay. I gotta 3.4 (BOO-YAH). Football is over now. We lost to Timpanogos in the first round of the playoffs. Oh well. Football isn't everything (...or is it?). It was sad to hear about it because he already knew that his other grandpa was going to die because he has cancer. But he didn't die yet. His other grandpa got in a car wreck.
