Dear family and others,

So much has happened in the lives of the Herrens this year. Life is full and always on the run. Of course I guess that's to be expected when there are three active girls and two active parents.

Terry really had to buckle down and get Kristen's room done. As last year she had given him an ultimatum. She said, either he got her room finished by her 13th birthday, or she was moving in with Nana and Papa. Well, needless to say, Steve and Paula didn't want to have that happen, so they chipped in with Terry when it looked like it wasn't going to happen. They bought the Bronco's colored paint and helped to mud, and texture the walls. One week after Her 13th birthday she moved into her new room. She is loving her new found freedom.

Keaira also has gotten her new room. She has decorated a totally girly room. Pink and Hello Kitty. So we have on one side of the room, Blue and Orange. Then the other side is VERY pink. We can't wait to put up the dividing accordian door. They both are enjoying their new freedoms.

Katie Is getting her room painted after a brief break from the hectic scramble to Kristen's and Keaira's finished.

Terry is completing the basement on his vacation. We will be able to move our family room down there hopefully after the dreaded Tax Day!

School has been very busy this year. But the girls are doing very well. Kristen is finishing 7th grade and starting some 8th grade material. I can't keep her busy enough. On top of all that she has acquired a horse. Yes, a real live equine, and working at a working horse ranch to help pay for half it's boarding. And working for her Daddy to pay for the other half. Such an ambition she has to learn how to run a ranch.

Katie has accomplished much already this year. Her challenges with reading are becoming less and less.

Keaira is soaking up the skills that it takes to be a Kindergartner. She learned to write her full name and is beginning to read.

Well, I guess that leaves Stefanie. Hmmm. Oh yeah, She has accomplished writing a book and is working on getting it published. It is a family saga that is centered here in Colorado. They move from Illinois and settle in Colorado Springs. Book one is title" Peak of Perseverance" Watch for it soon( Okay it takes 10 mos to publish).
